Job Title: Chief Nursing Officer - IL - OPEN

Job Description:
Chief Nursing Officer – IL Chicago - Directs all Nursing Services and employees involved in the provision of nursing care (direct and indirect care services). Responsible for the operation of the department and for the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department’s performance. Collaborates with ancillary services and Finance to achieve facility goals. Integrate the nursing departmental services with the hospital’s primary functions. Coordinate and integrate services within the department and other departments. Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. Recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent person to provide care. Determine the qualifications and competence of department personnel who provide patient care services and who are not licensed independent practitioners. Continuously assess and improve the department’s performance. Maintain appropriate quality control programs. Provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department. Recommend space and other resources needed by the department. Needs to be professional –will interact with the administrative team, physicians, and the patients. The hospital is a great place for a CNO to be. He/she would have flexibility with their staffing.
