Manager Medical Staff Office-CT-Excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager of Medical Staff Office! Must have certification as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or must be actively pursuing certification to receive certification within one (1) year or Certified Professional Credentials Specialist (CPCS) and actively pursuing CPMSM certification within two (2) years. This position reports to and is under the general direction of the Surgeon-in-Chief and Physician-in-Chief. You would be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and overseeing the Medical and Allied Health Professional Staff credentialing process for appointment, reappointment, and/or membership; oversees and participates in the operational aspects of a Medical Staff and credentialing office; ensures uniform operations conform to hospital, managed care plans, and governmental and regulatory standards. Assignments are planned and executed with considerable independence in conformance with established policies, regulations, and laws. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 5 years of experience in health-related field required; 5 years recent experience in a hospital medical staff office/credentialing setting required.
